I write historical fiction and cozy mysteries. I'm the best selling author of From A Good Home, an historical fiction about St. John's family and the secrets from their past that come back to haunt them.
About the Author
Trudi (White) Johnson was born in St. John’s, though her family’s roots are in Bonavista Bay. After graduating from university with a B.A., B.Ed., and M.Ed., she taught in the K – 12 school system in White Bay and Labrador City. In the 1990s, she completed a PhD in History, specializing in matrimonial law and inheritance practices. She became an associate professor in the Faculty of Education, where she taught pre-service teachers and completed extensive research on Effective Teaching. She has published three novels, From a Good Home, a best seller, its sequel, All Good Intentions, and a cozy mystery, Moonrise over Woolly Island. Through her writing, she hopes her readers will appreciate how the people and events of the past shape our lives. She lives in St. John’s with her husband Albert.
